Sotiris Spyrou

Sotiris Spyrou has spent more than twenty-five years taking complex systems apart to find out how they really work, from search algorithms to the machinery of large organisations. He works today as an AI and search consultant, advising businesses on how to stay visible as AI reshapes the way people and machines find anything at all. He is the creator of the Ulysses Universe, a science-fiction trilogy set in a stranger retelling of the Odyssey, and the author of The Substrate and a shelf of books on AI, ethics and strategy. He writes in plain, direct prose, argues strong positions, and is honest about where they are weak. He lives in the United Kingdom.

The day job is Verity AI, a responsible-AI and search consultancy. The books and the consultancy feed each other: the work sharpens the writing, and the writing tests the ideas in public.
